  Welcoming Entrance

 
  Octagonal tower
  An amazing octagonal tower greets visitors at Château du Barthas, for this is the main entrance to the castle.  There are also  two round towers, but this one is older and took this unique shape before builders knew how to build a round structure.   Note its very small and original windows.  The towers of the château also contain rooms that have been converted for use as artist studios.
