The Carriage House
was thoughtfully renovated in 2004 to provide self-catering accommodations
for guests at Château de Bournand. Beautiful new hardwood floors
replaced the eleventh century stone floors in the salon, which has a fireplace
and comfortable furniture, is decorated in warm hues, and looks out upon
the lime tree allée in the park. Garden
furniture completes the picture, and weekly guests have the use of the
swimming pool and other amenities in the park.

The accommodations
also include a completely equipped kitchen, dining room and powder room
on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor, each with an en
suite bathroom that includes walk-in showers. The en suite bathrooms
have a shower and tub and the WC is in a separate room. Most interesting,
perhaps, are the lovely tuffeau stone walls so indicative of the
Loire Valley. |
