Château de la Foltière is a gem surrounded by 15 unique theme gardens, le Parc Floral de Bretagne.   Alain Jouno, your host, offers visitors tours of his beautiful gardens during all seasons of the year. And, there are scheduled expositions and plant sales for those living near Brittany who can take plants home.  Monsieur Jouno spent many years designing and planting the gardens to be sure that something is always in bloom and alive with color no matter the season. 

Guests of Château de la Foltière will be most comfortable in beautifully appointed rooms, all with large, modern en suite bathrooms.  Each spacious room is named for a painter, so you will have a choice between Renoir, Monet, Pissarro and Sisley, or the suite Dégas. 

Monsieur Jouno is a kind and pleasant man whose goal is to have happy guests who will appreciate his enchanted floral oasis as well as his château.  Breakfasts are taken in a large dining room overlooking the lagoon, and visitors can find a wealth of books, post cards and other information in the charming little bookshop at the entrance to the property.  Contact M. Jouno, welcomed us graciously. . . you could see his pride in the château and his passion for the gardens he'd designed. . . .  [the restoration of the château] has been done with meticulous care.   Our room, the 'Renoir', was spacious and lovely with warm colors . . . and Louis XVI-styled furniture.  Our days began with breakfast in the tea salon, complete with table linens and vases of fresh flowers.  The breakfast was excellent.   We were struck by the thought and imagination that had gone into the creation of the themed gardens.  No matter what you choose to do during the day, it's a delight to wander through the gardens at day's end."
