Before extensive
recent renovations, the 600 year-old farmhouse was simply an ancient
backdrop for this sparkling swimming pool. A closer look at the farmhouse
confirms its six centuries of existence. As guests did before renovations,
they can enjoy refreshing swims after exploring the region ~ or they can
just relax around the pool, nap in the hammock or sit to enjoy conversation
while sipping a cool drink. |

Nestled on a hillside
with rock outcroppings and thick trees surrounding it, the building has
retained its medieval charm and mystery, but today is a lovely and welcoming
gîte in the style of a mountain chalet - perfect as the château
has views of the valley and the Pyrénées. Comfortable
bedrooms, a spacious salon/dining area and an open kitchen make this a
very pleasant self-catering getaway. |
