Vicinity:  Orange, founded by the Romans in 35 BC (Théatre Antique, 1st century Arc de Triomphe, Musée d'Art et d'Histoire), and other Roman structures such as the Wall of the Ancient Forum, the Temple of Hémicycle and many Gallo-Roman ruins; Saint-Florent convent and cloister from the 15th century, and Cathédrale de Notre-Dame de Nazareth. Nearby you can visit the Musée de la Lavande (Lavender museum) in Coustellet, the Musée du Vin in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the many vineyards of AOC Côtes du Rhône wines, whose grapes have grown here since the time of the Romans, and the aqueduct Pont-du-Gard.

From Paris Gare de Lyon by TGV  to Orange about 3 hours. 

From Paris by auto: take the A6 autoroute as far as Lyon and continue on the A7 direction Avignon.  Exit No. 21, Orange Centre. At the roundabout (traffic circle) take right turn onto avenue Charles de Gaulle (D237) and follow to the N7 (périphérique), turn left and follow around to the D975 (avenue Henri Fabré) only a short distance to the fork where you bear right, and you will be on avenue Frédéric Mistral ~ L'A Propos is number 15 on the right.

Railway Station:  Orange.  TGV from Paris twice each day.  Avignon railway station 29 kms.
