The Château and Chapel

Elegant and so very French, this marvelous château is perfectly representative of the Loire Valley.  Steep rooflines, fine limestone, grand gardens and parks ~ it is all a guest could want and more!

This west side of the château shows its two round towers and a clear view of the chapel which is an integral part of the château.  Intricate in its layout, the château simply exudes a fine history and tells you that many renowned people have stayed here!

Whether you want a peaceful moment for contemplation or an historic venue for a wedding or baptism, the chapel at Château de Reignac, dedicated to Saint Louis,  is absolutely perfect in every way.   Great care has been taken to preserve its statuary and carvings, and the stained glass windows are delicate and inspiring.  Claude Dubois, a sculptor from Dijon, carved an exquisite marble mausoleum in memory of Louis de Barberin, the chapel's founder, who is buried here.
