	The southwest of France has a magnetic attraction for travelers from its marvelous villages, its Atlantic Ocean beaches, equestrian pursuits, world-famous vineyards, and its proximity to the Pyrénées ~ add to that a stunning and elegant château for your vacation, and the perfect French holiday has been created. Situated on 35 acres, Château Robert, completely renovated in 1999 and with a new pool, kitchen and gardens in 2000, offers privacy, tranquility and exclusivity to its guests. The estate boasts marvelous trees, hedges and gardens, grand lawns with a Linden tree border, an organic orchard of fruit trees with a hazelnut walkway, an organic herb and vegetable garden, and a 5-acre garden being restored to recapture its 1790 design. The location of Château Robert is ideal for visits to the Atlantic coast and the cities of Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Bayonne and for exploring the delightful Basque and Béarn country and visits to the wonderful towns of St-Jean-Pied-de-Port, Salies-de-Béarn and Oloron-Ste-Marie. Golfers will be pleased with the many well-designed and popular courses in the region, and those who favor equestrian pastimes will find many places near the château where they can ride. On the château grounds guests can play tennis, fish for trout in the pond and take advantage of the heated saltwater swimming pool among other activities. Perhaps your group wants a French cooking holiday; if that is the case, week-long cooking courses are taught at the château in the newly renovated and very spacious kitchen. For those interested in organized wine tastings, there are several packages offered for those who rent the château. The guest rooms, ten in all, are magnificent. Wonderfully comfortable beds, fine furnishings and fabrics and lovely views over the estate. There are nine bathrooms in the château, several salons and a drawing room with a pool table and a grand dining room for enjoying the fine meals provided by the chefs on staff.
