  La Terrasse's gardens
were designed by André Le Nôtre, the famous French landscape
architect, who was responsible for the gardens at Vaux-le-Vicomte
and Versailles among others. The garden at La Terrasse, with
its two hundred year old boxwoods, is another example of the French
seventeenth-century style of garden design. Guests can enjoy
breakfast on the terrace overlooking the gardens and the distant landscape
beyond the rampart wall.

The gardens on the
ramparts at La Terrasse don't just offer pleasure to its guests
~ they also provide a vantage point from which to see the beautiful Tarn
countryside beyond the grape arbor. And, for those who would like
a refreshing swim, a lovely heated pool awaits. It is carefully integrated
into the garden and has Balneo jets for swimming against the current.
