| Luxurious on the inside and exuding classical beauty on the outside, Château de Villette. designed by Jules Hardouin Mansart and just northwest of Paris, is an incredible château that can be rented for a wedding, group gathering or corporate function. Smaller groups and individuals can also spend time at this magnificent property when they participate in any one of the many courses offered such as cooking classes with sightseeing, wellness retreats, garden tours, shopping excursions and, of course, a DaVinci Code Tour with excursions into Paris. Yes, this is the château seen in the 2006 movie, The DaVinci Code ! One of the most significant historical chateaux in France, Villette is sumptuous with a great octagonal salon overlooking the vast gardens, an elegant dining room with an original 17th century carved stone buffet, and superb limestone entry hall in classic 17th century design. Seventeen deluxe bedrooms, all en suite, await guests of Château de Villette. These were tastefully remodeled recently and offer guests extraordinary comfort. Telephone service is available in each room as is a wireless Internet connection. The professional château kitchen was installed in 2001 and boasts top quality commercial grade appliances. There are also two service kitchens, a gym, a billiard room, a library, a music salon and a banquet room. The château sits on more than 185 acres of garden designed by Le Notre spreading out behind the chateau on a central axis with two rectangular lakes filled with swans, ducks, birds and fish. A spectacular cascade and fountain resembles the one at Louis XIV's Chateau Marly . Guests will enjoy the privacy and serenity of the grounds at Château de Villette. They can jog, ride bicycles, hunt, play tennis or relax in or around the swimming pool. Mansart and Le Notre designed the palace at Versailles as they were designing Chateau de Villette which represents similar elegance and inspiration but on a smaller scale. Numerous outbuildings can be found at the château, one of which is a spacious chapel with adjacent reception room. There are also horse stables and a greenhouse. Aside from the association with the film, The DaVinci Code, the château was the setting for fashion shoots and a Jaguar automobile commercial. But, don't be mistaken as the château is inviting and alluring in its own right. It is the ideal location for family vacations, weddings, seminars, product promotions, business meetings, elegant parties and other special events. One can either rent the entire chateau for exclusive use or attend one of the organized events mentioned above. All events include fine meals and lodging in the chateau's deluxe guest rooms.
